Portfolio > Bindr: Queer Bodies and Online Sex

Title: Bindr
Printing: Archival inkjet photographs
Book: 3 Folio Book made of Ipad air boxes, First Volume.
Additional Info: The Internet and emergence of smartphone applications facilitated new modes of self-identification, self-presentation; changing the practice of sexual behavior and having an unequivocally profound impact on Queer communities. The anonymity of internet applications safeguarded and veiled the lines of connection and communication, supplanting coded iconography, linguistic cues, and public locations.
The individual’s identity is now a deconstructed, displaced physical body - an inhuman object of sexual desires and fantasies.
Reactions are collected to create an anthology of reactions to the different bodies.

This is a limited selection of the images that are found in the books, The images are titled with the body that the users are responding to.
